Hughes (hip) has been cleared to start Monday against the A's, MLB.com reports. GM Terry Ryan indicated Thursday that Hughes would be fine to toe the rubber Monday despite leaving Wednesday's game after five innings due to a left hip flexor strain. Hughes did away with any remaining doubt Friday, completing a bullpen session without issue.
