Hosmer went 3-for-4 against the Angels on Wednesday, but his two-run homer in the first-inning accounted for all the Royals' scoring in a 4-2 loss.
EDGE Analysis
That's now 17 consecutive games with a hit for Hosmer, a career-long streak during which he's lifted his average from an early .214 to .333; that said, the counting stats still haven't really been there (just eight RBI and 10 runs) with the Royals' offense as a whole still stuck in first gear. It looks like Hosmer's on track for another strong season, but his power contributions will never fit in with the upper class of first basemen.
