Hochevar re-signed with the Royals on a two-year, $10 million contract Wednesday, Jon Heyman of CBS Sports reports. With the Royals facing the threat of losing one of their stud relievers (Greg Holland, Wade Davis) due to their escalating cost, the team decided to buy low in re-signing Hochevar, who missed all of 2014 following Tommy John surgery. The former No. 1 overall pick had been sensational upon converting to relief the season prior, however, contributing a 1.92 ERA, 0.82 WHIP and 82 strikeouts in 70.1 innings. He's expected to be ready to pitch around the start of spring training.
