Harvey (elbow) faced swinging batters for the first time Monday in a 26-pitch session, NorthJersey.com's Matt Ehalt reports. He gave up one would-be hit during the session against David Wright and Curtis Granderson, and appeared to have his pitches working. This was his second time facing batters since undergoing Tommy John surgery, but it was the first time the batters were swinging against him. Harvey will make his Grapefruit League debut Friday and is slated to start one of the Mets' first five games of the season, although he will not be the Opening Day starter.
