Gyorko went 2-for-5 with a solo homer and two runs against the Mets on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
He's had the power stroke going lately, having drilled six homers to go with 11 RBI and 12 runs over the last 11 games. He may still be hitting a fairly typical .249, but Gyorko has improved his plate discipline with the move to St. Louis -- he's walking more and striking out less. The main thing depressing his batting average at this point is a .247 BABIP, which he could quite reasonably improve upon by season's end.
