Gyorko is batting .263 with one home run and one RBI in 38 at-bats. He has 16 strikeouts against three walks over that span, and MLB.com's Corey Brock reported that Gyorko's mechanics at the dish have resulted in a longer swing that has contributed to the elevated K rate. Brock reported that Gyorko is putting in extra time in the cage trying to remedy his swing, but it hasn't been translating to games thus far. Gyorko has looked better lately with four hits in his last two games, but his value is hampered right now by his plate discipline.
