Griffin (elbow) felt some soreness in his shoulder during a simulated game Thursday, Joe Stiglich of CSN California reports. Griffin appeared to be nearing to a rehab assignment after making it through his first two sim games without issue, but this shoulder concern will set him back indefinitely. The A's have shut the right-hander down and will send him back to Oakland to be evaluated.
