Gonzalez was cleared of any structural damage to his hand after X-rays following Sunday's game came back negative, Nick Groke of The Denver Post reports. Gonzalez said he first suffered the injury while swinging during a third-inning at-bat, but he initially stayed in the game before being pulled two innings later when he was still experiencing some soreness. The Rockies have officially diagnosed Gonzalez with a mild left hand sprain, and for now, the team appears optimistic that the outfielder won't be sidelined for long. In fact, with the team off day Monday, it's possible that Gonzalez could be good to go by the time the Rockies open up their series Tuesday with the Diamondbacks.
