Gonzalez (9-9) gave up two earned runs on four hits and a walk over six innings in Friday's 8-5 victory over the Rockies. He struck out five.
EDGE Analysis
After a tough luck no-decision in his last start, Gonzalez insured himself a victory by largely shutting down a potent Rockies offense. The veteran southpaw surrendered only a second-inning sacrifice fly to Daniel Descalso and a fourth-inning RBI double to Nick Hundley, otherwise cruising to his ninth overall victory and third in his last three decisions. The 30-year-old will look to get above .500 when he takes on the Phillies next Wednesday.
