Gattis is out of the lineup Monday against the Royals. After playing in 10-straight games, a span when he hit for a .738 OPS with four of his 10 hits going for extra bases, Gattis gets the night off in favor of Jon Singleton, who went 0-for-4 in his season debut on Saturday. Unless Singleton can improve significantly at the plate, Gattis should continue to see regular at-bats, primarily at designated hitter.
