Teixeira, who recently announced he'd be retiring after the season, has been brutal, hitting just .196 with 28 RBI. His struggles have been somewhat of a burden on Gardner's run scoring potential, as Gardner has just 59 runs despite a .355 OBP that would be his best full-season mark since 2010.
