Estrada flirted with a no-hitter, eventually allowing one run on one hit, walking four and striking out six over seven-plus innings of a 5-4 win against the Orioles on Friday night. Estrada (5-3, 3.92 ERA) had not allowed a hit through seven shutout innings, but departed after allowing a lead-off single in the eighth having tossed 118 pitches (75 for strikes). He did not allow a home run, something that has haunted him since moving into the rotation, and he could be a serviceable back-of-the-rotation starter if he can continue to keep the ball in the yard.
