Escobar returned from a concussion at the beginning of the series with the Mariners, but lasted just two games before succumbing to a new injury. He was hit by pitch in the left wrist Saturday and is being labeled as day-to-day for now, but the Angels could send him in for more X-rays if the injury lingers longer than expected. Kaleb Cowart is covering third base for Escobar on Sunday afternoon.
