Escobar left Sunday's game against the Astros in the third inning with an apparent wrist or thumb injury, Pedro Moura of the Los Angeles Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
The third baseman sustained the injury while attempting to field a ground ball and was replaced by C.J. Cron. Escobar returned two weeks ago from a jammed right thumb, so there may be some reason to fear that he aggravated something. Regardless, the Angels should have an update on the status of their leadoff hitter following the game.
