Despite allowing 11 baserunners (six hits, five walks) in seven innings Thursday, Lewis limited the Athletics to just one run. He struck out seven and received no decision in the eventual win. The Rangers ended up winning via walk-off, but that didn't help Lewis any. After missing all of last season due to injury, he made 29 starts this year, but finished with a 5.18 ERA and 1.52 WHIP, ugly numbers that make his situation for next season rather uncertain. Only five pitchers in the American League have allowed more hits this year than Lewis's 211 in 170.1 innings, and all five of them have pitched more than 200 innings.
