Ryan Rua will take over in left for Desmond for Saturday's matchup with Yovani Gallardo and the Orioles. Desmond has struggled mightily at the plate to start the year going 5-for-46 to start the year and he's collected just two hits in his last 27 at-bats. He got off to a slow start last season as well, slashing .217/.287/.326 through the first month of the season before ultimately turning things around a bit later on in the year.
