The Rockies are off Thursday, so Descalso will likely return for the first game of the weekend series against the Diamondbacks on Friday. In the meantime, Cristhian Adames is starting at shortstop Wednesday and hitting seventh against the Dodgers in Game 1 of a doubleheader.
