Descalso has been performing well in the few opportunities he's received this season, but there doesn't seem to be an opportunity for him to be anything more than a reserve utility infielder going forward. The 29-year-old could see some more playing time if one of the Rockies' infielders get injured or begins to struggle significantly, but for the time being, he'll likely spend most of his time watching the action from the dugout.
