Davis (elbow) expects to be activated from the disabled list Friday, Rustin Dodd of The Kansas City Star reports.

Davis rejoined the Royals on Wednesday after completing a rehab assignment, but his final minor-league outing came Tuesday, and the Royals will give him at least a couple days to rest and recover in between appearances. Davis is 21-of-23 in save opportunities this season and owns a 1.60 ERA, so he will presumably reclaim the closer's duties one he is officially back on the Royals' roster.
