Cueto (personal) gave up two earned runs on five hits, with no walks and four strikeouts over five innings, in a minor league game against the Dodgers on Friday. "I thought I was going to be a little wild and stuff like that, but no, everything felt pretty good," Cueto told MLB.com. "I was trying to throw the ball down and I was effective. So I was very pleased with my start." A day after returning to Reds camp, Cueto took the mound on the minor league side for his first taste of live action since March 15. He threw 60 pitches, 47 of which went for strikes, and manager Bryan Price said afterward that he thought Cueto's delivery and the quality of his pitches were "outstanding." The plan is for Cueto to take the hill in a Cactus League game against the Diamondbacks on Wednesday in what will be his final tuneup before Opening Day.
