Cubs signed INF/OF Alfredo Amezaga to a minor league contract. Amezaga, who turns 34 next week, batted just .182/.247/.195 over 87 plate appearances between the Marlins and Rockies last season. Despite his versatility, he's unlikely to make the Cubs' Opening Day roster.
