Cobb has a partial ligament tear in his elbow and will try to pitch through it, the Tampa Bay Times' Marc Topkin reports. This is incredibly troubling, as Tommy John surgery could be the best option at some point down the line. It's not clear if Cobb will return to the rotation at some point in the near future and try to pitch through the issue at the big league level, a la Masahiro Tanaka, and the uncertainty surrounding the situation just adds to the frustration fantasy owners must be dealing with. Cobb has often missed time in past seasons, but this would be his first serious elbow issue of his professional career. Alex Colome and Nate Karns could remain in the rotation for a good chunk of the season.
