Choo is out of the lineup Wednesday, the Dallas Morning News' Evan Grant reports. Jake Smolinski gets the start in right field with lefty Scott Kazmir on the mound. The Rangers are paying Choo too much money to platoon him in right field, but he does have a career .242/.337/.342 slash line against southpaws, so it should not be surprising when he gets the occasional day off when a righty isn't on the mound.
