Chatwood (elbow) threw two innings in a rehab assignment Wednesday at High-A Modesto, giving up one run on three hits and two walks.
EDGE Analysis
It was Chatwood's first time pitching in a game since April 29, 2014, when he experienced right elbow tightness that eventually resulted in his second career Tommy John surgery. He's advanced quickly through the rehab process, and has stated that he hopes to pitch with the Rockies again before the season comes to an end. However, after the rough first outing with Modesto and with several more rehab appearances necessary to build up his arm strength, Chatwood seems likely to wait until 2016 before taking the mound again with Colorado.
