Castro was 3-for-3 with a pair of home runs and six RBI in the Cubs' dramatic win over division-rival St. Louis on Friday afternoon.
EDGE Analysis
He socked a two-run home run in the fifth inning off of Seth Maness to give the Cubs the lead, and followed that up with a three-run blast in the next inning off of Steve Cishek to blow the game open. Castro, who has been playing second base with some regularity, has been red hot in September - technically since losing his starting job at shortstop - and has now provided 10 home runs and 60 RBI to go with an improving .257 average. He's on a roll, and as long as he keeps hitting, the Cubs are likely to keep penciling his name into the lineup.
