Carlos Quentin (knee) will likely be placed on the disabled after Friday's game. Quentin hasn't played since last Tuesday due to right knee discomfort, but the Padres are finally ready to make a move. It's not known when he'll be ready to return, but he would be eligible to come off the disabled list next week.
