Burton threw two scoreless innings in Wednesday's game against the Padres, allowing a hit and a walk while striking out one. Burton's outing was even better than the raw numbers, as he came into a two-on, no-out jam in the seventh after Brian Duensing didn't retire a batter, and escaped without allowing a run. He got a hold for his efforts, his 12th of the season.
