Buchholz pitched a scoreless three innings, giving up a walk and striking out four against the Twins on Saturday, the Boston Herald reports. Buchholz, who was facing major league hitters for the first time this spring, established his fastball early and mixed in his other pitches, including several changeups. While manager John Farrell hasn't named an Opening Day starter, Buchholz is on schedule for that job and he's impressed the manager so far. "Very good," said the manager. "Four pitches for strikes. Good command. The thing that we focus in on, when he's able to throw his changeup to right-handers, his release point has got good extension and that was the case today."
