Brewers released OF Corey Patterson; re-signed him to a minor league contract. Patterson was only released for "procedural reasons," as the new collective bargaining agreement stipulated that he was due a $100,000 bonus on Friday. The Brewers quickly re-signed him to a minor league deal and he'll open the season with Triple-A Nashville.
