Bourjos (hip) agreed to a one-year deal with the Cardinals on Thursday, avoiding arbitration, Derrick Goold of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports. Bourjos had another disappointing season at the plate in 2014, batting .231/.294/.348 with four home runs and 24 RBI over 119 games and 264 at-bats. Although he is known more for his glove than his bat, he showed promise in 2013 with the Angels after finishing with a .274/.333/.377 batting line in 55 games, but saw a decline in 2014. He will likely serve as a reserve outfielder behind Matt Holliday, Jon Jay and Jason Heyward in 2015.
