Boston Red Sox third baseman Pablo Sandoval is in the lineup Thursday against the Chicago White Sox after being removed from Wednesday's game because of dehydration, according to ESPN Boston. Sandoval left the game in the fifth inning, with Red Sox manager John Farrell saying that the team will continue to work on Sandoval's conditioning. “That’s something that Pablo has dealt with his entire career,” Farrell told NESN.com. “It continues to be addressed. I can’t say (Wednesday) is a direct result of that. But there are ongoing efforts to support that, to try to get him in the best shape possible.” Sandoval, who is listed at 255 pounds, has struggled this season after signing a a five-year deal worth nearly $100 million in November. He is hitting just .262/.308/.381 with eight home runs and 34 RBI in 91 games this year.
