Blanco signed a minor league deal with the Phillies on Thursday, Jim Salisbury of CSN reports. The deal includes a spring training invitation. Blanco, who was outrighted by the Phillies in October and ended up declining his assignment, instead electing for free agency. He'll return to the Phillies as a non-roster invite and will likely end up back at Triple-A, where he spent the majority of last season. The 30-year-old appeared in 25 games for the big league club, hitting a respectable .277/.306/.447 with three RBI.
