Bauer threw seven scoreless innings in a win over the Astros on Tuesday, allowing three hits and three walks while striking out seven.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander had all of his pitches working against Houston, but it was a well-located fastball that set everything up. Bauer's ERA fell from 5.14 to 3.86 with the seven scoreless, and given his ability to miss bats, there's a case for Bauer to be picked up even in some shallower leagues. He starting now in place of Carlos Carrasco (hamstring), but if Cody Anderson were to falter or if there were another injury, Bauer could stick long term.
