Axelrod was reassigned to minor league camp Wednesday.

Axelrod spent most of 2015 in the minor leagues where he went 6-8 with a 4.68 ERA at Triple-A Louisville. He had a brief stint with the Reds in which he was roughed up to the tune of a 7.30 ERA over 12.3 innings pitched. The 30-year-old has only pitched in 11 MLB games over the past two seasons, and it is unlikely that he sees significant time with the Marlins in 2016.
