EDGE Analysis
The Cubs ace turned in one of his best performances of the last two months, needing just 108 pitches to get through his eight frames. It constituted the veteran righty's first scoreless effort since June 17 versus the Cardinals, when he'd blanked the Cardinals over six innings. The victory put an end to a three-decision losing streak for Arrieta and he'll look to make it two in a row when he takes on the Cardinals next Friday.
