Archer gave up four runs (one earned) over 5.2 innings in Tuesday's loss to the Tigers. He struck out six but yielded five hits and five walks while taking a no-decision. All of the damage against Archer came in the sixth inning, as the right-hander ultimately squandered a 4-0 lead. The outing snapped a streak of five straight quality starts for Archer, and was a poor follow-up to his previous turn, in which he whiffed 12 batters over seven innings. Given his general reliability over the last few weeks, Archer can still probably be rolled with confidence in his subsequent outings, in spite of Tuesday's uninspiring performance.
