Amarista isn't in the lineup Wednesday against the Astros. Amarista will receive a day off Wednesday after eight straight starts at shortstop. He's collected hits in three of his last four contests, but didn't have more than one in any of the three games. Clint Barmes will start in his place Wednesday, batting seventh for the Padres.
