Alvarez is batting .197/.258/.295 since May 28 (in 66 PA) with one homer and five RBI. The Pirates can live with his league-leading eight errors among all first basemen, but only when his offensive production warrants. Alvarez has been the subject of trade rumors -- he'll be eligible for free agency after 2016, but a move most likely won't happen until the offseason. In the meantime, fantasy owners have to hope he gets on one of his patented hot streaks as Pittsburgh begins a six-game homestand Tuesday. For the season, he's batting .231 (identical to 2014) with 10 homers and 28 RBI.
