Adams is not in the lineup for Thursday's game against the Brewers. Adams tallied four hits in his last four games after failing to get one in his first three, but he is still hitting just .167 for the season, so manager Mike Matheny decided to give him the day off Thursday. Mark Reynolds will get the start at first base in Adams' place.
