According to GM Sandy Alderson, Wright (back), who was to see Dr. Robert Watkins on Monday in Los Angeles to hopefully get clearance to resume baseball activities, has had no change in his status, the NY Post reports. That sound you hear is the clock ticking on Wright's availability for the remainder of the season. Once Wright gets clearance, he will need at least three weeks to be ready to rejoin the Mets, presuming no setbacks. Three weeks from now would be the beginning of August, but as Wright has not received clearance, we are looking at some time after that. If Wright does not clearance for a few more weeks, that would clearly out his return in 2015 in severe doubt.

What a mess, he gets hurt stealing a base so the mets decide to not try to steal bases anymore. I would let him sit out the year if he is healthy or not. He is going to need time to get his timing back anyway by the time he is in good shape and swinging the bat well the season will be coming to an end
