Herrera will receive another start at third base Wednesday, Tom Haudricourt of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports. Herrera homered in his third straight game Tuesday, and regular third baseman Aramis Ramirez is still dealing with a sore back, so manager Craig Counsell will stick with the hot hand and give Herrera his sixth straight start at third base Wednesday night. Herrera is hitting just .228 this year, but he owns a .782 OPS on the season thanks to four home runs and three doubles.

Herrera went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer that put the Brewers on top for good in the win over the White Sox on Monday night. Aramis Ramirez continues to be sidelined by a back injury, which was enabled Herrera to take over as the team's interim third baseman. Monday's start was the fourth consecutive game that Herrera has been in the lineup for Milwaukee, and he's now delivered a home run in back-to-back games after going deep on Mother's Day against the Cubs.

Herrera is not in the lineup Wednesday for the second straight day. Herrera had been seeing regular action at second base, but he will be held out in favor of Hector Gomez again Wednesday. The two figure to continue sharing the second base duties until Scooter Gennett (hand) returns to action, likely next week.

Herrera is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Reds. Herrera started six of the last seven games at second base, but he will get the day off Tuesday after going just 3-for-18 (.167) over his last five games. Hector Gomez will get the start at second base in Herrera's place.

Herrera hit a grand slam in his first appearance of the season Tuesday in a loss to the Reds. Herrera took over starting duties at second base with Scooter Gennett (hand) out. Last season he appeared in 69 games for the Brewers and drove in just five runs. Expect him to continue to compete for starting time with Hector Gomez until Gennett returns.

Herrera will play second base and hit second in Tuesday's game against the Reds. It's not exactly clear how Herrera and Hector Gomez will split the second base duties in Scooter Gennett's absence, but Herrera will jump right into the lineup after being called up Tuesday morning. Herrera owns just one home run and four stolen bases over 141 career MLB games, but he did hit .288 against right-handers last season, and posted a 1.144 OPS through 11 games with Triple-A Colorado Springs this year.

Herrera was called up from Triple-A Colorado Springs on Tuesday. Herrera was called up to take the roster spot of Scooter Gennett, who was placed on the disabled list with a hand injury. Herrera hit a sizzling .422 (19-for-45) through 11 games with Colorado Springs, but he will likely fill a utility role with the big club and does not figure to see regular at-bats.

Herrera is 13-for-26 (.500) with two home runs, six RBI, and nine runs scored through nine games with Triple-A Colorado Springs. Herrera was the last position player cut by the Brewers at the end of spring training, but that did not deter him from jumping out to a fast start with Colorado Springs. He will garner consideration when the Brewers need to call up a hitter from the Triple-A ranks.

Herrera was returned to minor league camp Thursday. Herrera made a strong run at a spot on the Brewers' Opening Day roster, but his 2015 campaign will begin with Triple-A Colorado Springs. Herrera appeared in 69 games with the Brewers last season and can play both the infield and outfield, so he figures to be among the first options when the Brewers need to bring up a player from the minors.

Herrera is 7-for-23 (.304) with a home run and five RBI through 15 spring games. Herrera has hit the ball well this spring, but the Brewers know what they have him in after he appeared in 69 games for the club last season, and he has received limited opportunities while the team evaluates other players. With that being said, he remains in the discussion for a utility spot on the Opening Day roster.
