Chris Dickerson (shoulder) is feeling better and will attempt to hit Thursday. Dickerson strained his left shoulder during batting practice on Wednesday, but it sounds like he'll avoid an MRI for now. Of course, that could change if he experiences renewed discomfort while trying to hit. Consider him day-to-day for now.

Chris Dickerson was scratched from Wednesday's lineup after injuring himself during batting practice. It's not clear at this point what injury Dickerson is dealing with. The Orioles will update his status soon.

Chris Dickerson struck out all three times he was up Monday before being removed for a pinch-hitter. Dickerson was the hero on May 31, hitting a three-run walkoff homer against the Tigers. However, since that day, he's 5-for-31 with no RBI and 15 strikeouts. The opportunity was there for him to earn a platoon job against righties, but he's on the verge of blowing it.

Chris Dickerson delivered a walk-off three-run homer in Friday's 7-5 win over the Tigers. Dickerson has been dealing with a sore wrist recently, so he was making his first start since May 23. He made it back at just the right time for the Orioles, taking Jose Valverde deep with two outs in the bottom of the ninth to win it. It was his fourth home run of the season and his first career walk-off.

Chris Dickerson had an infield single and a pair of solo homers in Tuesday's win over the Yankees. Phil Hughes was the victim of both bombs, serving up the dingers in the third and fifth innings. Dickerson and Nate McLouth were the offensive heroes for the O's, as McLouth slugged a walk-off solo shot in the 10th to break the team's six-game losing streak. Dickerson has seen a little more playing time of late and is now batting .371 over 15 games.

Chris Dickerson smashed a three-run homer in a losing effort against the Rays on Friday. After falling behind 12-4 early in the game, Dickerson's bomb off Kyle Farnsworth capped off a six-run eighth inning that pulled the O's to within 12-10. Unfortunately for them, that's as close as they'd come. The veteran outfielder has done a nice job in limited time, hitting .320/.346/.520 with a homer and six RBI in his first 25 at-bats.

Making his third start in his three weeks with the team, Chris Dickerson went 3-for-5 with two RBI to help the Orioles best the Mariners 7-2 on Tuesday. It was surprising Dickerson wasn't taken more seriously after the Yankees let him go in January. He was terrific in Triple-A last year, and he's been a perfectly useful part-time outfielder in the majors when healthy. In 525 career at-bats, he's hit .267/.364/.405 with 11 homers and 28 steals. The Orioles don't have much of a role for him with everyone else healthy, but if another outfielder goes down, he'd probably have some value in AL-only leagues.

Orioles purchased the contract of OF Chris Dickerson from Triple-A Norfolk. A corresponding move isn't known yet, but it's not expected to involve Nolan Reimold (hamstring). Dickerson will serve as a backup outfielder.

Orioles re-assigned OF Chris Dickerson to minor league camp. The 30-year-old outfielder actually had a very nice spring showing, hitting .297/.409/.514 with a pair of homers, six RBI and two steals in his 24 games. He'll likely serve as organizational depth at the minor league level, and should see time with the O's in 2013.
