Triunfel was reassigned to minor league camp Tuesday, CSN Bay Area's Amy Gutierrez reports. He will continue to offer organization middle-infield depth, and he is worth much more to the Giants' organization than fantasy owners.

Triunfel signed a minor league deal with the Giants on Saturday, Baseball America's Matt Eddy reports. The 24-year-old shortstop has had brief appearances with the Mariners and Dodgers at the big league level, but he profiles as organizational depth in the upper levels of the minors, and an emergency option for the Giants.

Triunfel cleared waivers and was outrighted to Triple-A Albuquerque, MLB.com's Ken Gurnick reports. No surprise here, as the Dodgers designated Triunfel for assignment in order to clear a spot on the 40-man. He'll add organizational depth next season for the Dodgers, but is unlikely to ever be much of a fantasy contributor.

Triunfel has been recalled by the Dodgers. He'll replace Juan Uribe on the active roster, after Uribe returned to the disabled list with a hamstring strain. Triunfel's stay may hinge on the health and productivity of Alex Guerrero, who continues to play regularly at Triple-A Albuquerque.
