Arroyo (elbow) said Wednesday that his arm feels great and that he should be ready to go come spring training, C. Trent Rosecrans of the Cincinnati Enquirer reports.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander missed all of 2015 after undergoing Tommy John surgery in July of 2014, but Arroyo said he's finally had the resulting scar tissue in his elbow break up. Currently a free agent after the Dodgers declined his team option, Arroyo will turn 39 before the start of the 2016 season. However, there is reportedly mutual interest in a return to the Reds, with whom Arroyo spent eight seasons from 2006-2013.

Arroyo (elbow) had his team option declined Friday, Dylan Hernandez of the LA Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Arroyo missed the entire season after undergoing Tommy John surgery in July of 2014, but was traded to the Dodgers as a way for Atlanta to dump his salary. He'll be 38 years old by the start of the 2016 season and won't have pitched for nearly two years, but he should get the opportunity to join the end of a starting rotation.

Arroyo (elbow) is expected to throw a bullpen session Tuesday, Jack Magruder of FOX Sports Arizona reports. Arroyo is at about the 10-month mark in his recovery from Tommy John surgery and shouldn't be expected to return to action until after the All-Star break. He'll require several bullpen sessions before the Diamondbacks entertain the idea of having him face hitters.

The Diamondbacks officially put Arroyo (elbow) on the 60-day DL on Saturday. The move clears up space on their 40-man roster but doesn't really change Arroyo's status - he wasn't due back until some point after the All-Star break.

Arroyo (elbow) is expected to return before the All-Star break, the Arizona Republic reports. It will be interesting to see if that timetable holds up as Arroyo continues to move forward in his recovery. He had the procedure on July 11, which would require him to return within 366 days of the operation in order to pitch ahead of the 2015 All-Star break. At the very least, the aggressive timetable being offered up suggests that he's progressed well to this point in rehab.

Bronson Arroyo has decided to undergo Tommy John surgery. Arroyo didn't have any issues after he played catch last Friday following a few weeks of down time. However, the veteran right-hander has ultimately decided that it's best to go ahead and have his sprained ulnar collateral ligament operated on. He'll be sidelined until around midseason next year.
