Phillips (knee) took batting practice without issue Monday night and is expected to be in Tuesday's lineup as the designated hitter, David O'Brien of the Atlanta Journal Constitution reports.
EDGE Analysis
Atlanta will be playing under American League rules through the conclusion of their series against the Angels on Wednesday, which will allow Phillips to get back into the lineup even though his knee is still giving him enough trouble to keep him away from second base. The club has an off-day Thursday before returning to National League rules Friday against Cincinnati, but by then, Phillips should be good to go on both sides of the ball.

Phillips continued to get treatment on his injured knee Monday, but could appear in Tuesday's lineup against the Angels as the designated hitter, Kevin McAlpin of 680 The Fan reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Braves are in Los Angeles through Wednesday, giving Phillips a pair of chances to appear as the designated hitter should the club think his knee isn't up to playing second base. Jace Peterson will man the position in Phillips's absence.

Phillips had his knee heavily wrapped after Sunday's game, and seems doubtful for Monday's road contest against the Angels, David O'Brien of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports. "I think it's one of them where we'll just see when we get there," Braves manager Brian Snitker said Sunday night. "Probably not the best thing to put a guy in the air in an airplane after something like that, but we'll just see how he feels tomorrow."
EDGE Analysis
The second baseman fouled a ball off his kneecap and left after the fourth inning Sunday, and he wore about a foot of wrapping around the knee after the game to try and prevent further swelling. If Phillips is unable to play Monday, Jace Peterson would likely get the start at the keystone for Atlanta.

Phillips was removed from Sunday's game against the Giants after fouling a ball off his knee, Kevin McAlpin of 680 The Fan reports.
EDGE Analysis
Phillips reportedly has a knee contusion, and as such, his day-to-day status leaves him questionable for Monday's series opener against the Angels. The second baseman went 0-for-2 with a strikeout before departing.

Phillips is not in the Braves' lineup Thursday against the Pirates, David O'Brien of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
EDGE Analysis
The 35-year-old probably will see at least one day off -- typically day games -- during most weeks to keep him fresh. Phillips has excelled again, though, with a .303/.357/.428 line, three home runs and seven stolen bases in 157 plate appearances. Jace Peterson will fill in at the keystone and bat eighth.

Phillips is out of the lineup Sunday against the Nationals.
EDGE Analysis
It's likely little more than a rest day for the 35-year-old Phillips, who had started each of the previous six games and reached base in half of his plate appearances during that stretch. Jace Peterson will cover the keystone in place of Phillips for the series finale.

Phillips went 2-for-3 with a walk, a double and a caught stealing in Saturday's win over the Nationals.
EDGE Analysis
The Braves' lineup suddenly looks a lot less imposing with Freddie Freeman (wrist) out of commission but Phillips is doing his part to keep things rolling from the two-hole, going 7-for-16 (.438) in the last five games with five walks, four doubles, four runs and two steals. With his 36th birthday rapidly approaching, Phillips is showing no signs of slowing down.

Phillips went 2-for-5 with two doubles and two runs scored in Tuesday's win over the Blue Jays.
EDGE Analysis
It's his first multi-hit game since April 23, and Phillips has hit only .159 (7-for-44) in between those performances. The veteran second baseman still has a decent .277/.312/.387 slash line on the season, but he'll need to start stringing some hits together if he's going to maintain it.

Phillips is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Marlins, David O'Brien of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
EDGE Analysis
This marks the third straight Sunday in which Phillips is out of the Braves' starting lineup. The veteran second baseman is on a bit of a cold streak right now, with three hits in his last 25 at-bats, but Sunday's absence is likely just a standard day of rest. Expect to see Phillips back in there Monday against Toronto.

Phillips (groin) is back in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Astros.
EDGE Analysis
The Braves sat Phillips on Sunday with an off-day looming, hoping to get out in front of a minor groin issue. It seems the two days off were indeed sufficient to treat the injury, as Phillips is penciled in to man second base and bat second against right-hander Charlie Morton. Phillips is off to a 3-for-18 start this month after slashing .355/.388/.500 in April.
