Gose (elbow) signed a minor-league contract with Texas on Thursday, Anthony Fenech of Free Press Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
Gose is set to play both ways with the Rangers this season, earning time out of the bullpen and in centerfield after converting from the outfield this past spring. During the 2017 season with Detroit's High-A team, he posted a 7.59 ERA and 1.27 WHIP over 10.2 innings, but wasn't able to pitch after July 2 due to an elbow injury. Gose didn't undergo any type of surgery, and he should be able to hit the field next spring without any limitations.

Gose has been shut down with an elbow injury, Chris McCosky of The Detroit News reports.
EDGE Analysis
It's unclear when the injury cropped up on Gose -- as he hasn't pitched since July 2 -- but the Tigers don't believe it's serious enough to require surgery, which is good news. Still, he remains without a timetable for return as the Tigers try not to push the converted outfielder. The 26-year-old compiled a 7.59 ERA and 14 strikeouts in 10.2 innings with High-A before being shut down.

Gose's advanced age (he's 26) could accelerate his path through the minor leagues as a pitching prospect, Evan Woodbery of MLive.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The converted outfielder made his professional debut as a pitcher on Monday for High-A Lakeland, and he hit 99 miles per hour on two occasions during the outing. Gose is 26, and Tigers manager Brad Ausmus says his development will be accelerated because of his age. While an MLB debut this season may be a longshot, he could realistically end up in Double-A or Triple-A by year's end, and possibly make the major league team as a pitcher in 2018 if he's effective.

Gose made his professional pitching debut Monday with High-A Lakeland, conceding one run on a hit and a walk while striking out a batter over one inning.
EDGE Analysis
More notable than Gose's results was the premium velocity he flashed from the left side, with Lakeland manager Andrew Graham indicating the converted outfielder hit 99 miles per hour on two occasions during the evening, according to Vince Lara-Cinisomo of Baseball America. Gose, who had been working with pitching coaches at extended spring training for the first month and a half of the season prior to joining Lakeland, will need to show an ability to command his pitches better before climbing up the minor-league ladder.

Gose was assigned to High-A Lakeland on Monday, Evan Woodbery of MLive.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
After going through a crash course on pitching at extended spring training, Gose has finally received the green light to make his season debut in affiliated ball. The Tigers will have Gose work primarily as a reliever in the lower minors, but the organization doesn't appear to be closing the door entirely on the 26-year-old playing the outfield. Gose's fastball had been previously clocked in the mid 90s, so if he's able to command his pitches well and develop his secondary offerings, he could move through the farm system quickly.

Gose is expected to stay in Florida for extended spring training to build up arm strength as a pitcher, Jason Beck of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Tigers manager Brad Ausmus said Gose will also work as an outfielder, so the team is not completely committed to the position switch. But Gose was primarily a pitcher during high school and reportedly featured a mid-90s fastball, so there is some potential there it seems.

Gose will play the outfield and do some throwing on the side Sunday with the possibility of converting to a pitcher, Jason Beck of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Gose was primarily a pitcher during high school and reportedly featured a mid-90s fastball. He approached the Tigers about the potential position change, so it seems that it's something he is serious about. The 26-year-old was reassigned to minor league camp Sunday.

Gose was reassigned to minor league camp on Sunday, Evan Woodbery of MLive.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Gose was competing for the starting center fielder role, but this move means Mikie Mahtook, Tyler Collins and possibly JaCoby Jones will likely split time there. Gose is out of options, so he'll have to clear waivers to be sent to the minor leagues to begin the season. If he does clear waivers, expect to see him at Triple-A Toledo.

Gose cleared waivers and was outrighted to Triple-A on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
The 26-year-old struggled in 30 games last season, slashing .209/.287/.341 in 101 plate appearances. He'll primarily add depth at the Triple-A level for the Tigers in 2017.

Gose was designated for assignment on Wednesday, Sportsnet's Ben Nicholson-Smith reports.
EDGE Analysis
Once a highly-touted prospect with several huge tools (arm and run), Gose has never hit enough to profile as a regular. The Tigers traded a player to be named later for Mikie Mahtook, who will take Gose's spot as a fifth outfielder. If he clears waivers, Gose will offer depth at Triple-A.
