Cashner still has pain in his left knee, and has yet to throw off a mound since suffering the injury, Eduardo A. Encina of The Baltimore Sun reports.
EDGE Analysis
Cashner remains unlikely to pitch again in 2018, given his knee issue still hasn't resolved itself. He'll be considered day-to-day with a little over a week left in the regular season.

Cashner (knee) is considered out indefinitely and seems unlikely to start again in 2018, Brittany Ghiroli of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
According to Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports, Cashner is battling bursitis in his left knee, a condition for which he required a cortisone injection last Thursday. The Orioles will likely wait for the shot to take full effect before assessing Cashner's outlook for the rest of the season, but with only two weeks left to go, it may be difficult for the 32-year-old to build back up to a starter's workload. The first season of Cashner's two-year deal with the Orioles hasn't paid dividends, with the 32-year-old posting a 5.29 ERA and 1.58 WHIP while striking out just 99 batters over 153 frames.

Cashner (knee) was unable to partake in a throwing session and will not start Monday against the Blue Jays, Steve Melewski of MASN Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
Cashner received a cortisone injection Thursday and was hopeful Saturday's throwing session would clear the way for a return to the rotation. Instead, the 32-year-old will need to regroup and hope for a return at a later date.

Cashner (knee) received a cortisone injection and will have a throwing session Saturday, Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
Cashner received the injection after the MRI on his left knee came back clean Thursday afternoon. The 32-year-old could still be available to make Monday's tentatively scheduled start against the Blue Jays, but that remains dependent on Saturday's throwing session.

Cashner underwent an MRI on his left knee Thursday, which came back clean, Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
Cashner has apparently been dealing with a sore knee, which explains his rocky start to September (14.85 ERA and 1:3 K:BB across 6.2 innings in two starts). The right-hander is expected to receive an injection after his MRI ruled out structural damage. It's unclear if Cashner will be able to make his next start, which is tentatively set for Monday against the Blue Jays, but manager Buck Showalter said he expects the 32-year-old to pitch again this season.

Cashner (4-14) took the loss Wednesday, allowing three runs on seven hits and two walks without a strikeout against the Mariners.
EDGE Analysis
All the damage came via the long ball, as Cashner allowed a trio of solo home runs. He's now allowed seven home runs over his last four starts, and has more walks (20) than strikeouts (15) in 44.2 innings over his last eight outings. The righty will look to turn it around Wednesday against the Athletics, taking a 4.89 ERA and 1.54 WHIP into the divisional tilt.

Cashner (4-13) took the loss Friday as the Orioles fell 9-2 to the Royals, giving up four runs on nine hits and three walks over 5.1 innings while striking out one.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander saw his quality start streak snapped at three after a performance in which both his control and command wavered -- Cashner threw only 58 of 98 pitches for strikes but got hit hard when he did find the strike zone, as both Hunter Dozier and Cameron Gallagher took him deep. He'll take a 4.86 ERA into his next outing Wednesday in Seattle.

Cashner (4-11) gave up five runs on seven hits and three walks while striking out two in six innings Monday against the Blue Jays. He took the loss.
EDGE Analysis
He had uncharacteristically turned in two high-quality starts in a row prior to this outing, and actually has six quality starts over his last 10, but he is good for a blow-up start every couple weeks. Cashner will have a tough matchup in his next start Sunday against the Yankees.

Cashner allowed one run on six hits and one walk while striking out two across 5.2 innings Sunday against Toronto. He didn't factor into the decision.
EDGE Analysis
Cashner surrendered his lone run in the fourth inning, and he was lifted from a 1-1 game in the sixth after throwing 79 pitches. While he managed to improve from his last outing (five runs over 6.1 innings vs. the Yankees), Cashner couldn't collect the victory: his last win dates back to May 21 against the White Sox. The 31-year-old has accrued a 4.40 ERA and 1.50 WHIP with an 83:44 K:BB over 106.1 innings this season.

Cashner (neck) was activated from the 10-day disabled list prior to Sunday's matchup against the Blue Jays.
EDGE Analysis
Cashner was pegged for this start on Saturday, so this move is merely a formality. He and the Orioles will be underdogs for the road matchup against J.A. Happ and the Blue Jays. Donnie Hart has been optioned to Triple-A Norfolk in a corresponding move.
