Alexi Ogando allowed four runs over 6 1/3 innings in a loss to the Brewers on Tuesday. Ogando was victimized by the home run ball on Tuesday, as all four of the runs allowed came via the home run. In all, Ogando allowed six hits and two walks, striking out just three. The 6 1/3 innings was the longest start for Ogando since coming off the disabled list on July 23. Alexi Ogando was removed after allowing three runs in four innings and walking five Friday against the A's. Ogando has managed to pitch just 13 2/3 innings in his first three starts back from the disabled list. With Colby Lewis perhaps 7-10 days away and Matt Harrison hopeful of returning at the end of the month, it's looking more and more like Ogando will finish the season in the bullpen.

Alexi Ogando lasted just 4 2/3 innings in Sunday's loss to the Indians, yielding a run on six hits and two walks. Though he only wound up allowing one run, it wasn't a pretty outing from the righty, as Ogando struck out just one and threw 92 pitches over the 4 2/3 frames. Ross Wolf came on to bail him out of a jam in the fifth, getting Asdrubal Cabrera to strike out. Ogando has allowed just four runs in his two starts since returning from the DL, but he's lasted a total of only 9 2/3 innings. He'll get the A's on the road next weekend.
