Weaver allowed two runs on eight hits through six innings to pick up a win over the Phillies on Wednesday. He struck out five and walked two in the contest. Weaver battled through most of the evening, leaving the mound after the sixth with a 2-1 deficit before the Halos put up three runs in the bottom of the frame to allow the 31-year-old to pick up the win. Weaver has been unseated as the ace of the Angels' staff by Garrett Richards this season, but he has still been a serviceable option. He will take a 3.66 ERA into a start against the Red Sox on Tuesday.
