Nix is out of the lineup Thursday against the Tigers, Rob Biertempfel of the Pittsburgh Tribune reports. Nix has started five of six games since joining the club, but will give way to Michael Martinez at the keystone Thursday. He's 4-for-28 at the dish with one RBI since his arrival, and remains in search of his first extra-base hit with his new team.
